Welcome to Wallaby, Los Angeles’ one-of-a-kind resource for young children and the families who love them! At our stylish and convenient eastside location on Hyperion Avenue, we’ve created a unique continuum of high-quality services – including parent & me classes, a parent education, support and hobby program, creative classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and children’s birthday parties – that are specially designed to meet the needs of families in Los Feliz, Silverlake, Echo Park, Hollywood, Atwater Village, Glendale, Eagle Rock and beyond from birth to preschool.
Like our marsupial mascot, we at Wallaby believe in keeping children close to a parent or trusted caregiver until they’re ready to venture out into the world, and we know that parents can sometimes use a nurturing place of their own. Spring session of parent & me

Playtroop – our drop-in open playtime
Love the sound of our parent & me classes, but looking for less of a committment? Playtroop gives you and your joey the chance to drop in for up to two hours of open play in our beautiful classroom at a time of day when the playgrounds are getting cold and dark but you’re not quite ready to head home. This isn’t just another indoor playground – one of our talented, experienced and fun-loving parent & me teachers is there to truly engage each child in music, art and movement, plus plenty of freeplay with our fantastic selection of developmental toys and materials. Drop-off playtime – our weekly child care service
Have you fallen behind on trips to your dentist/doctor/hair salon? Do you have a ton of errands or emails to catch up on? Or could you just use a little you time? Take advantage of our drop-off playtime on Fridays from 9am-noon, and get everything off your to-do list so you can actually relax over the weekend! Our teaching staff will ensure that your little one stays safe while enjoying music, art, snack, storytime, and plenty of freeplay with our fabulous selection of developmental toys and materials. Space is limited so we ask that you call or email us by noon Thursday of each week to let us know if you plan to drop your child off the following morning. $30 per child.
Separation program
Got separation anxiety? Now your child can gradually learn to separate in our warm and stimulating group environment at a comfortable pace set by you. Parents or caregivers are invited to stay with each child until he or she feels secure, and our amazing teaching staff will keep everyone safely and happily engaged in the range of activities you would expect in a progressive toddler or preschool class – music, art, movement, snack, storytime and plenty of self-directed play.
